Macquarie Bank will launch its own credit card. Mickey Perret, executive director of Macquarie's banking and securitisation division, said it expected to have a few hundred thousand Macquarie Bank branded and white labelled cards on issue in the next three years. The launch follows the bank taking a 10 per cent stake in low-rate credit card Virgin Money in November 2005.
