Big banks keeping customers satisfied 17 June 2008
Almost two thirds of bank customers are satisfied with their bank according to the latest ratings from Nielsen. Satisfaction levels with the top five banks averaged 62.9 per cent, down just 0.7 per cent from last quarter. ANZ regained top spot in the survey with the highest level of satisfied customers at 69.4 per cent. Commonwealth continued to languish the pack with just 53 per cent of customers saying they were satisfied with the bank. St George's ratings fell while NAB improved. There was some flight to size over the quarter with a 4 per cent rise in the number of people saying one of the majors was their main financial institution.
