Suncorp's chief financial officer Chris Skilton said that its funding task in wholesale markets was "challenging ... but doable". Suncorp needs to raise around 4.5 billion in wholesale markets and, like all banks, is finding the pricing on debt expensive and sources of funds not easy to find. Skilton said there was limit to how fast Suncorp could grow. He said Suncorp would favour its own branch network over brokers.
