A secret deal between Commonwealth Bank and Storm Financial has been revealed to a parliamentary inquiry currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the Townsville based financial advisory firm.In May 2007 a deal was made between Commonwealth Bank subsidiary Colonial Geared Investments and Storm founder Emmanuel Cassimatis, that in the unlikely event of margin calls, CGI ''will work in partnership to clear the margin call''.Many Storm clients did not receive margin calls when their investments fell in value last year. The inquiry has been told that margin calls would have allowed the investors to sell out and preserve their cash.
