| According to the latest Roy Morgan Research customer satisfaction survey the only bank to improve its rating over the year to June was BankWest, which gained 4.4 percentage points. BankWest's rating is 77.8 per cent. Bendigo suffered the biggest fall, down 4.5 percentage points. Its rating, once in the 90s, is 86.3 per cent. Among the big banks National had the biggest fall, down 2.8 percentage points. ANZ leads the big bank rankings with a satisfaction rating of 74.1 per cent, followed by Westpac with 71.6 per cent, Commonwealth with 67.7 per cent and National with 66.9. Overall rating for building societies was down 1.8 percentage points to 86 per cent and the overall rating for credit unions was down 0.3 percentage points to 87.2 per cent. Roy Morgan said the most disaffected group of customers were bank home loan borrowers. Their overall level of satisfaction has fallen 3.5 per cent since January, compared to a 0.5 per cent fall in the rating of other customers over the same period. |
