Credit Unions customers most satisfied 17 May 2010
A nationwide survey of almost 3,000 bank customers for the Financial Services Union has provided a reasonable snapshot of the Australian bank marketplace. About two thirds of respondents have mortgages and credit card debts, so the participants are broadly representative of the Australian banking population.Many more people said they were satisfied with their bank (42 per cent) than said they were dissatisfied with their bank (29 per cent). Customers of credit unions seem especially satisfied with a 62 per cent satisfaction rating. Regional banks did well with 60 per cent of their customers reporting they were satisfied.Of the majors, NAB scored well with 47 per cent of their customers saying they are satisfied with the bank while Westpac customers were the most dissatisfied (42 per cent) according to the FSU research.
