Only about 6,000 people hold a Wizard Clear Advantage MasterCard, the lender's chair, Mark Bouris, said. Wizard lifted the interest rate by 2.75 percentage points to 18.49 per cent on this credit card. Wizard had, over the weekend, announced it cut home loan rates by 25 basis points a few days before the RBA confirmed the cut in cash rates. Bouris deflected criticism that Wizard was lifting rates on credit cards to make up lower margins on mortgages.
