First Home Owners grant in demand 13 January 2009 |
| |
| More than 5,000 first home buyers applied for the beefed-up first home owner grants in the first full month of the scheme's operation, the Department of Housing said. 5,385 people took advantage of the FHOG following the doubling to $14,000 for established homes, and the trebling to $21,000 for new homes, announced in November 2008. The greatest response was from New South Wales. |
