Suncorp quits rural New South Wales 12 June 2008 |
| |
| Over the coming month Suncorp will close retail bank branches in Bendigo, Goulburn, Taree, Albury, Wagga and Dubbo. The sites were originally GIO offices and 'were not great sites'. The group will have a net increase in branches during the current financial year, with 12 new branches opening across Queensland, Western Australia and Victoria. Ten new branches are planned for the 2008/09 financial year and another 10 for the following year. 'The tide is not turning on the branch expansion strategy,' the spokesperson said. Agribusiness and insurance services will be maintained in the six New South Wales towns affected by the branch closures. |
