NAB said a specialised team of forty people managed its $1.2 billion portfolio of 10 collateralised debt obligations. Citigroup said last week that the debts were managed by just two people who were put in place just weeks before $830 million of write downs were announced by the bank. NAB said it had hired a person in New York to help manage the portfolio.
