It recognises that individuals have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. Unless given consent to do otherwise, Credit Mart will not divulge your information to any individual / company for reasons outside the purpose of using the “Request For Quote” (RFQ) service.
By undertaking the Request For Quote service on Credit Mart you agree to the terms and conditions around usage and privacy of data contained within these terms & conditions.
Collecting Personal Information
Credit Mart will not collect or monitor any personal information about an individual without their prior consent. The only personal information collected is what has been provided voluntarily by the user of the RFQ service
Using and disclosing your personal information
When undertaking the RFQ you will be required to complete two forms. The first form is what we refer “personal information” and the second form being “financial profile”
When you undertake the RFQ process you are authorising to Credit Mart to use and disclose your information as follows:
1.       When you submit the RFQ form you authorise Credit Mart to release your “financial profile” to the service providers you have selected to participate in the quoting process. We release these details so that the service providers are able to review your financial profile and provide you with an indicative offer.
2.       Once the offers have been received you are then able to select the winning offer/quote. When you select this offer you are authorising Credit Mart to release your “personal information” to that specific service provider. We do this so that the service provider can then contact you in order to complete the application process.
3.       To record statistical data for marketing analysis. .
 
Quotes Received
You as the user of the RFQ process acknowledge that all quotes/offers received by the service providers are non binding and all information is subject to review and verification by the winning service provider.
In order for the service provider to complete an application for any loan they will require further information outside the scope of the RFQ process. Therefore any offer from any service provider can change from the offer received during the RFQ process.
Usage of RFQ Service
Users of the RFQ service agree and accept to the following:
1.       Complete the RFQ forms as accurately as possible in order for suppliers to give a true an indication as possible as to an offer
2.       Users accept that any offer / quote is an indicative offer or quote and as such all information needs to be verified by the actual suppliers / lending institutions.
3.       Any offer or quote does not mean that the customer will have their offer / quote approved. Financial lenders will be required to pass each application through their approval process. The information contained in the RFQ forms does not cover such approval criteria.
 
Contact by Credit Mart
Credit Mart may contact individuals via telephone or email  in order to:
1.       Obtain feedback with regards to how the customer has found the RFQ process and to obtain feedback on our suppliers
2.       Provide information that may be of interest about updates, new Credit Mart  products and services, special offers and other matters that may be of interest.
3.       To send newsletters.
4.       CreditMart  does not send advertising information without obtaining prior consent. If an individual receives communications from Credit Mart which they do not wish to receive, they may opt out of the mailing list by sending an email to marketing@creditmart.com.au
Individual's right of access to their information
Individuals have the right to review the information that may be recorded on the Credit Mart database. Information may be reviewed by contacting Credit Mart on 02 8231 6607.
Changing and deleting the information we have about you
Information contained on the database may be amended anytime by logging into the "My Account" section and updating your information.
1. Information previously communicated to service providers for the purpose of proving a quote will not be updated.
Storage and security of personal information
Credit Mart will endeavour to take all reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information recorded, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. The information is stored on secure servers that are protected in controlled facilities. In some cases these facilities may be overseas. Credit Mart employees are required to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by Credit Mart. However, security of communications over the Internet cannot be guaranteed, and therefore absolute assurance that information will be secure at all times cannot be given. Credit Mart will not be held responsible for events arising from unauthorised access to personal information.
